Mrs. Ebony Douglas

I was born and raised in San Antonio, Texas. My husband and my children are products of the Judson ISD family.  I am currently serving my 14th year in JISD.   I began my teaching career here at Metzger Middle School as a Reading teacher, coach , and eventually Department Chair. I had the pleasure of serving the students at Kirby Middle School where I also held the Department Chair position. I proudly came back home to Metzger as the Academic Coach. This is now my 2nd year as the Assistant Principal of Blended Learning. Becoming the Assistant Principal over Academics brings me so much joy. I am an advocate of all children learning and growing. In this position, I am able to support the teachers with their educational growth as well as assist the students with their educational experience. I am looking forward to a productive school year and seeing the growth in our students.

Ms. Patricia Ramirez

Welcome Marvelous Mustangs!  First and foremost, let me say how happy I am to be a part of the Metzger family!

A little bit about me, I fulfilled a life-long dream when I graduated from Texas A&M University with my degree in Interdisciplinary Studies.  I have been a die-hard Aggie all my life.  I went on to pursue my Master's in Administration from Sam Houston State University, then returned home to South Texas where I was born and raised.  I have three amazing children.  My oldest is 27 and an educator himself. He teaches 6th grade ELAR . My daughter is 23 and works for IHeart radio. You can hear her in the mornings on 96.1 working on the Jubal Show and my baby is about to be 21 and is still in school.  I could not be prouder of my children if I tried.  They are my heart and soul.  They are the reasons I get up every morning.

This is my 23rd year in education and I can assure you I love my vocation.  I have taught every grade in elementary school, including some bilingual classes. I taught RTI, dyslexia and eventually moved into Administration.  I am so blessed to be here at Metzger working with Mrs. Davidson.  Life comes full circle as she is the one who hired me and gave me my first administrative job.  So to be working with her again is wonderful.  Metzger is a fantastic place to send your children to school.  A place where they will be educated and be able to build their character as well.  As an administrator here, please know my door is always open.  If I can help, I will.  My goal is to see these students succeed in every area of life; in and out of the classroom.  As Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. once said, "Intelligence plus character - that is the goal of true education'.
